This has turned out to be my busiest year yet. I’ve started to experiment with a much wider range of media and that will definitely continue. Acrylic paint and ink are things I very much enjoy working with and they are proving popular at workshops. PEBEO  http://www.pebeo.co.uk/ is one firm that continually bring out exciting and innovative new mediums. This has, very much, been a  year when students have embracing all things glittery! Next years workshops are looking to continue that theme although, every now and then, I get a chance to return to some of the basics, such as pencil drawing, which are a favourite with me. Looking back over all the workshops, shows and exhibitions I can’t quite believe that I fitted it all in! I’ve met many lovely people as well as catching up with old friends. 2018 is already looking to be even more hectic. No chance of retiring to put my feet up anytime soon but,  I wouldn’t have it any different. My life has changed out of all recognition over the last few years and I am amazed and very grateful.

So many new opportunities have presented themselves  this year that it has not proved practical to post a list here. If you go on the Facebook link to my work page you will get a regularly updated idea of what I’m doing. All shows and exhibitions will be well advertised on there. Also, all new work is posted as soon as it’s finished. Hopefully, at the end of the year I will find time for a major overhaul of the website.

A brand new year is here and it looks like being busier than ever. New opportunities are on the horizon and I can’t believe how full my calendar already is. my resolution for the year has to be to get more organised! Hopefully that might lead to a less stressful life. Towards that end I’ve started the very daunting task of completely clearing my work room so that it can be decorated and then fitted out with much more organised storage. Bags are already being filled with stuff that should have been cleared out a long time ago but, I seem to be making a dent as yet! All I can do is keep on going and hope that, by the time Spring arrives, I’ll have dealt with everything so that we can fling windows wide and start stripping wallpaper. As I said…going to be a bit busy. Last year was such a good one that I need to get started on a fair amount of new work straight away so that will be going on at the same time. My first shows and workshops start in March so that doesn’t leave me too long. No chance of me getting bored. I’m looking forward to meeting new people, catching up with friends and, mostly, to enjoying what I’m lucky enough to do.
